Archiweek-01

Today is the first day of Archiweek, it is a programme which organized by our third years senior. It is compulsory for every architecture student to get involve.

The first activity start about five o'clock, we all gather around the school. The facilitator divides us into 3 groups. It is quite despaired because the number of people who are a little bit only~

Then, we have to build a shelter which can be sit by 5 peoples and carried by 4 peoples. The shelter must be made by bamboo.... Oh no, bamboo again.... It is a quite long time I don't touch the bamboo after RUS101! I am not excited and not happy, do not know how to describe my feeling....

After that, our group divides again into 2 gang according to the task... One gang thinks about the group's name and cheers while another group is responsible to build the shelter. I am in the gang to build the shelter.

Discussing about the design of shelter is not easy, we combine the ideas of everyone and modify it... The final decision comes out and we start to build it. About 7pm, we dismiss and take our lunch.

Then we will continue to build it but i have to attend the training of wu shu club.. So sorry, but i have to do it.

Finally, I get the photo of my mold from photographer, Weng Jen. My roommate is really a great photographer, i am quite satisfied with the photo of my mold.

Ha!ha! Starting to think my idea about the chair... Annoying~

Photograph Season

After we finished the mold and bring it to studio today... So strange to face the people's gaze in the bus, I would like to bury myself into the underground...

In studio, WanB wants us to modify the mold and make it more graceful.He wants us to take the photo of our mold and add some design on it and pass it up on Monday.

First time getting into the photograph room is a strange experience. Almost all of us are exicited. WanB wan the people who is more professional in photograph to guide us to use the tool.

We use almost 3 to 4 hours to do it and we are satisfied with the effect of it...ha!!!

After that we also use it to take our photo....shhhh.. dont tell others~~

Everyone is excited~~

The people who has better skill adjust the tools.

Project02: One Function Space---02

Before that, we dug a hole to make the mold for chair. It is sounded like a stupid and crazy idea, since the sun is hot and making a hole outdoor....Haiz!!

Suddenly, a person from our group suggests to use the steel net to make the mold then we don't need to digging a hole under the dreadful sunshine... The proposal makes us realizing we are stupid enough to work it under the sun.

Without hesitate, we use this idea, i buy a steel net for RM8.80, I want to cry, just second week of current semester, we have to spend a lot.(T.T)

Then, I start to shape my mold in my room with the helping hands of my roommate, Weng Jen. It is hard to bend it. My hands almost want to kill me ~~AW~~AW~~SAKIT!!

Then, the skeleton of the mold is done. I warp it by the aluminum foil, which bought from Mega Jaya. I try my best to warp it, but it looked strange.... Ha!!

The steel net that costs RM8.80~~

It looked strange but i still love it~~

Project02: One Function Space---01

AAAAAAAAAAA~~~~~ This time we have to design a chair, and separate into 4 group. I don't know I am lucky or not, get group 4 with the guide of WanB. He wants us to dig a hole on the hill and make a mold of body shape~~Crazy!!!

When WanB suggests that ideas, we just keep quite and atmosphere is very strange.... Ha! Ha!
Because we cant believe that we will dig a hole for designing a chair and it is raining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About 2pm, we gather at the hill around the HBP and start to dig a hole~~ Luckily, no rain anymore!! WanB also reach there to observe what we had done~~

Before that, I think dig a hole is just a easy for us, but the soil is hard enough so that we are suffering to dig it.

Obviously, they dig better...

AAA~~ no more strength to dig it!!

Project 01: Ideas

In project 1, we need to produce 2 sketches, for sketches 1, we need to describe the current environment of the big dome with our idea to work on the dome soon. For sketches 2, we need to sketches the details of the existing structure and connectivity Big Dome and specification....

For 1st sketches, I plan to use a quarter part of the dome to build a building. You can observed the figure above and below. Obviously, it is a 5 stars hotel. It locates near a lake with superb scenery. All kind of service will be provide at here, like spa, TV, food and etc.

I spent a long time to do it, although it is not so perfect, but i am quite satisfied with it. I hope it can be built up~~ haha!!


For 2nd sketches, i just sketch up what we had done last semester. For figure 1, it is the connector that we shaped to fix on the top of the struts. For figure 2 is the strut with connector. While figure 3 is the struts connected by the screw and figure 4 is the scenery of sky in the dome~~
